The keel system could be done, but would require structural reinforcement to the daggerboard trunk, and the keel bulb, daggerboard, and hardware would be quite expensive unless it ever became a production thing.  You also wouldn't ever get the boat as light as the Pearl, you'd still have the 300# of fixed internal ballast, and the structure of the Pearl is almost 200# lighter than stock.
